The MechE Postdoc Community

MechE postdoctoral scholars are part of a large network of more than 1,400 postdocs across the entire Institute. Postdocs hold doctoral degrees and pursue a program of research and training under the direction of an MIT faculty member.

Postdoctoral scholars are a very important part of the research community here in MechE, adding insight and energy, expertise and a fresh perspective to our many research endeavors. We hope that, in exchange, postdocs receive one final spark that comes from working side-by-side with a MechE faculty member before shooting out on their own to begin what I know will be careers marked by excellence.
